Generally, a typical family of three to four people will consume an average of 3 to 4 of our 5-gallon bottles per month. Seasonality plays a role, so that during the winter and summer, water consumption tends to increase somewhat, while in the early spring and late fall, it tends to go down. Uses beyond just drinking, such as cooking, pets, and coffee, can also add to your monthly water consumption. For commercial customers, we generally recommend a 5-gallon bottle for every two employees. Once your staff exceeds 12 people or so, we generally recommend a second cooler as well.
Each month, we typically deliver as many bottles as the customer leaves out to be replaced. In the spring we sometimes leave an extra bottle, and in fall we sometimes don’t replace every one of them. But you should never worry about running out of water. All of our Norway Springs route salespersons are trained to make accurate estimates of your water needs, and over time, we’ll have a documented history of your water use that we can use to manage your needs. We can easily adjust your inventory so you never run out of water, even if we have to make a special delivery to meet your needs.
Does Norway Springs do Custom Labeled Bottled Water?
Yes, we can! At Norway Springs, we also sell and deliver private label water in 20-ounce bottle cases with any label you might want (we design the label with logos, pictures, etc.). We normally provide this service for commercial accounts—such as insurance companies, golf courses, or banks—so they can market their own brand, or for residential customers wanting to celebrate an anniversary, birthday, or marriage. How hot and cold does the water get?
The hot water temperature is hot enough for soups, teas, hot chocolate and coffee, a welcome treat during the UP’s cold winter days. The cold water is chilled to around 42° F, providing welcome relief on the hottest of summer days.
